For the Next 7 Generations tells the story of thirteen indigenous Grandmothers who came together in 2004 to speak in one united voice so that they could awaken us to the catastrophic consequences we face if we don't change the way we relate to each other and to our Mother Earth. Through their their prayers, their ceremonies, and their active collaboration with coalitions working to preserve the environment and create peace among peoples, they are shining a bright light on the path to a sustainable world for the next seven generations. With each new report on the increasingly rapid deterioration of our air, our water, our Mother Earth, with each new nation that develops nuclear arms, our situation is becoming more and more precarious. For the Next 7 Generations will bring widespread attention to spiritual solutions for healing our planet and ourselves.
