KineticArchitecture presents an annual NYC season and is invited to diverse venues around the country. Faux Pas has had the honor to be an instrument for such artists as Sean Curran, Angelin Preljocaj and Gus Giordano. The work draws upon Faux’s background in classical Ballet, Graham, Tanztheatre, Butoh and Burlesque/Cabaret.

R Faux Pas will teach Modern/Contemporary Technique Classes on Wednesday August 24th-Saturday August 27th.

My training in Graham and Taylor, Classical Ballet, the Tanztheatre traditions of Kurt Joss, Butoh, Burlesque/Cabaret and being hopelessly fascinated with watching children of all ages play and struggle serve as the foundation for my pedagogical approach to dance as art. In the studio I emphasize sound placement and the kinetic organization of the body and mind designed to challenge the dancer to explore their unique expressive potential. Bold athleticism and aesthetic sensitivity are integrated into a professional and supportive atmosphere with respect to the geography of each individual’s instrument.
